This is a 2015 Z06 Convertible with the Z07 package and an 8 speed auto. I bought the car in 2022 with 6,500 miles on it in Florida. I traded a 2011 ZR1 in on it which I didn’t want to do but the ZR1 was plagued with issues. The car now has 14,000 miles. It’s been to the track at Bowling Green and I did the Dragon’s run with it. It’s been an exceptional car and it’s easy to drive it quick! My only planned project is to try to remove the rear bumper cover to shim it up for better alignment to the quarter panels. It still turns a lot of heads here in Florida!

It was a very exciting day in 2017 when I ordered my brand new C7 Z06. A couple of regular Corvettes and a C6 Z06 previously graced the garage, all purchased from other Corvette enthusiasts who had the thrill of customizing each car exactly as they wanted it. The opportunity to make all of the selections made buying the car extra fun. The first big decision was the Admiral Blue paint accented with silver stripes. Not too many striped Corvettes around. The 650 horsepower was a big step up, paired with the manual transmission to enjoy every ounce of power. Chrome wheels and red accents on the front fenders finished the look. Right from the drive off of the car lot, the Corvette has been a dream to drive. It has taken us on many trips, including back to where it all began in Bowling Green. As the last of the front engine designs, the Z06 is still living up to its reputation as a sleek, fast ride.

Our 2019 manual transmission C7 Z06 was purchased from the Finch/Chevy dealership in London with 5,000 KM. It had only 1 owner before we purchased it in October 2020.
We have done cosmetic details to the exterior such as carbon fiber rack guards, Z06 mats and black wheel nuts. No other modifications have been made.
In August 2023, we attended the 3rd annual Cultural Awareness Corvette Weekend that took place in Bowling Green, Kentucky from August 14th to August 18th – 2 weeks before the Grand Caravan.
“The Cultural Awareness Corvette Weekend Inc. is a hybrid team of visionaries, creators, managers, and strategists partnered with the National Corvette Museum with the express purpose of providing an annual opportunity for Corvette enthusiasts throughout the United States and Canada to come together and experience and celebrate the cultural and ethnic diversity that exists amongst Corvette Owners while contributing to the development of educational and economic opportunities in the host community”

That weekend, the organization held several seminars, tours of the museum and corvette plant, events at the motorsport park, a photo shoot for owners of the Z06 model and gala events.
At the Z06 photo shoot, we were grateful and honored to meet Ed Welburn. Ed Welburn was the designer of the C7 model series and was the first Black-American hired by General Motors in 1972. Eventually he rose to the position of Vice-President of GM Global Design from 2003 to 2016.
At one of the galas, Ed Welburn was honored for his contribution and service to General Motors and the corvette community.
As every Z06 owner knows, the engines are hand-assembled in the Performance Build Center (PBC) in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The person who builds the engine would have a plate stamped on the engine to authenticate it. Through serendipity, we were blessed to have met the woman who hand-assembled our engine!
Crystal Stickland was gracious to sign the valve cover of our engine in the parking lot of the plant just before starting her shift! What an honour!
