October Club Meeting: Executive Nominations and Dinner Meeting

The October meeting will be a dinner event and will be held at Club Capri at 36 Cleveland St in Thorold on Tuesday October 6th. This is the same location as the August Classic Corvette Showcase car show. There is easy access from Hwy 406 and Hwy 58 at Pine St.

The meeting will feature a private buffet style dinner with a variety of pizza choices (vegetarian and gluten free available), chicken wings, salad, tea and coffee, and dessert. A cash bar will be available. The event will start at 6 pm with food service from 6:15 to 7:30.

The Niagara Corvette Club is subsidizing part of the cost of the meal (taxes and facility services and gratuity) as a thank you to everyone for your support and assistance with our Car Show.

The cost of the meal per member is $25.00. We require a firm head count ASAP to set up the dining space and determine the size of the food order. Please use the RSVP link to sign up for the meal, and then send an eTransfer to treasurer@niagaracorvetteclub.com for the total cost of the meal(s) for you and your Affiliate Member. The cut-off date for registration will be October 3rd.

This subsidized event is not eligible for Alternate Members to attend.

The regular meeting (although a little shorter) will begin at 7:30 pm.

The main item on the Meeting Agenda will be the Nominations for the November Elections for the 2027/2028 NCC Executive.

Nominations for NCC Executive positions shall be held bi-annually on even numbered years at the October general meeting of the NCC Membership.

Nominations and voting for NCC Executive positions shall be restricted to Members.  All nominations must be seconded by another Member and accepted by the nominee.

Nominations and voting procedures shall be administered by a Member selected by the NCC Executive to serve as the election scrutineer.

Acceptance of nominations shall be based upon a simple majority vote of Members attending the October general meeting of the NCC Membership as determined by the NCC Executive.

Further nominations for the Executive positions can be submitted prior to or at the November general meeting of the NCC Membership.

If you are not able to join us for the dinner at 6 pm, you are more than welcome to arrive for the 7:30 meeting. You do not need to RSVP if you will not be attending the dinner portion.
