Club Meeting

April 1 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

  • « St Paddy’s Day at Club LaSalle: Dinner/Concert
  • The “Get your Vette out of the Garage” Spring Cruise and Lunch »

The next Club meeting will be on Tuesday April 1st at 7:30 pm at the Niagara College Welland Campus. The Campus is located at 100 Niagara College Boulevard and is accessible from Woodlawn Road, First Avenue, and Rice Road. Enter by the Main Entrance, the Campus Entrance (follow the North Road), the West Entrance, or the Chippawayan Blvd Entrance, only westbound from Woodlawn Road. Easy access is from Hwy 406 from the north or south across Woodlawn Road, or from Niagara Street or South Pelham Road, south of Regional Road 20.

Scott Jarvie, the President of Corvettes of Western Ontario, will be our feature speaker. Scott will be presenting information about the activities of the CWO, and their car show in May. He will have a video shot from his C8 at the Grand Bend track last year, for those interested in seeing what the track offers. Scott is also the moderator of the Canadian Corvette Forum, and will discuss what the site offers.

Pam Sharp, the Director of Development at the Niagara Children’s Centre, and Briley Deiter, will also be attending our meeting to thank our Club for our 50 years of support, and to discuss the tremendous work done at the Centre.

Free parking after 5 pm is available in lot C3, which is just a short walk to the Commons Entrance that leads into the Food Court/Cafeteria, and there is a circular driveway/drop off area on the North Road beside the doors, as shown below:

As in the photo below, the Commons Entrance leads into a large seating area right next to the Food Court, which features Tim Hortons, Subway, Pizza Pizza and others. The hours of the food services and restaurant will vary over the Spring and Summer months.

We recommend that you arrive at the Campus and park in Lot C3 at 6 pm or thereafter, as that will allow you plenty of time to get a coffee, or a drink, or a snack in the Food Court, and then sit down and socialize with other Club Members in the generous seating area of the Cafeteria. If you wish to have a meal at The Core (menus shown below), you should preferably arrive between 5:30 and 6 pm.

As in the photo below, the short hallway directly beside the Wellness Lounge (this is just a few steps from the Commons Entrance, across from the computer screen shown below) leads down to Lecture Room S135, with washrooms located at the opposite end of the hall.

Directly inside the first door of Room S135 will be our usual layout of name badges, club information, and tickets. The room itself has tremendous acoustics, and also features a multimedia display screen and audio system.  There is a generous amount of seating in an ampitheatre format. The room is reserved for our use, and requires no set up or teardown. Food and drinks are permitted; we just ask that you clean up any items that you bring in.

Note – As the Niagara College facility has numerous food options available, we will not be providing snacks and drinks in the Lecture room, so please arrive early and make use of the Food Court offerings.

The meeting will start at 7:30 pm, so please make your way from the Food Court before that time.
