DESCRIPTION:Now that we are almost through the winter and see spring on the horizon\, let’s share the anticipation of one day getting back in our Corvettes. We will be having our first club social get together for 2026 on March 21st. \nWe will begin the day by meeting for breakfast at the Grill on Canboro\, in the Town of Fenwick\, on 794 Canboro Road at 9:30 am. This will be a “Pay your own way” meal. \nAfter breakfast\, we will be making our way to our tour of the Greater Niagara Railroad Engineers open house. This is a large HO scale model railroad train exhibit located at 1141 Maple Street in Fenwick. We will be given preferred admission at 11 am\, one hour before their scheduled start time. \nMembers who do not wish to have breakfast first can meet our group directly at the Open House at 11 am. \nhttp://www.gnmre.ca/ \nParking is available in the town’s public parking lot on Maple Street\, or on Canboro Road. Once you park\, it’s just a short walk away from the Grill and directly next to the Railroad building. \nThe GNMRE request a small cash donation or a canned goods donation in support of their efforts. DESCRIPTION:Sat June 21st from 2 to 5 pm at the Niagara College – Niagara-On-The-Lake Campus \nJohn Sawicki was a long time member of the Niagara Corvette Club. John passed away peacefully at home on October 23\, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was a cherished partner to wife Kristal Doyle for almost 22 years. \nThere will be a Celebration of Life in his honour at the Armoury Pub at the Niagara-On-The-Lake Campus of the Niagara College. Please see the attached maps for buildings and parking. \nAs that morning is also the day of our Club Rally and BBQ Lunch\, we will be organizing a Corvette Parade from Club Capri down the Welland Canal and across Glendale Ave to the Niagara Campus before 2 pm that day. We encourage the members participating in the Club Rally to join in the Parade. \nWe also encourage other members to join in the Parade along the Glendale route (a good waiting spot is across from General Motors in the empty lot)\, or meet up with our Club Members at the Armoury Pub.

SUMMARY:Brown Homestead Tour / Cars and Coffee
DESCRIPTION:We will enjoy a one hour private tour of the Brown Homestead at 1317 Pelham Road\, St. Catharines at 10 am\, through the John Brown House and around the property to the heritage buildings on site. Tours are conversational and interactive. We focus on the story of what brought the Loyalist Brown family to settle here\, how they built the house\, and the family farm that operated here. DESCRIPTION:The Antique Car Show has been a part of Downtown Thorold for a very long time.\n\nEvery Wednesday Evening starting June 11th – September 3rd (weather permitting)  \nBuilding on the success of the last two years’ Thorold Community Market held at the Battle of Beaverdams Park and the Thorold BIA Car Show\, the City and the BIA has decided to once again\, combine both popular events on the same day for the enjoyment of residents of all ages in our community. \nStarting June 11\, local farmers\, vendors and artisans will participate in the Thorold Community Market that runs every Wednesday evening until September 3 with a special closing celebration on Saturday\, September 13. \nThis free community market from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. takes place at the Battle of Beaverdams Park on Sullivan Avenue. Visitors can enjoy food and drink while supporting local businesses and listening to music. \nVisitors can also wander through the Park to admire the many classic cars that will be parked there\, as part of the Thorold BIA Car Show and then head down to Front Street to support the local businesses. \nIf you have a car and want to bring it to the Car Show- prior registration isn’t required. SUMMARY:Grand Bend Track Day: Exclusive Track Rental for NCC Members at Grand Bend Motorplex
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday June 10th\, 2025 – 2 to 5 pm raceway rental \nWe have another great opportunity this year to take your Corvette out on the technical track (road course) in a controlled environment with your fellow Club members. \nThe track is fully staffed with a Marshall and corner workers\, and we limit the number of cars at a time to approximately 6 Corvettes. Our target group size for this event is 12 cars\, although we could allow for 14 in total. This sets the cost per car at just over $100.00 for the event\, which is a great value for a private track rental that provides everyone with a tremendous amount of track time. \nEach group of cars typically stays out on the track for 15 to 20 minutes at a time\, after which you will want to pull back into the pits and cool yourself and the car down. Entry is controlled by the Marshall\, but you can exit at any time. Passing and corner rules are to be strictly followed\, and drivers are allowed to proceed around the course at their own comfort level. Passengers are allowed in the vehicle on the track (no extra cost for passengers and spectators)\, although helmets are required for all participants. \nThere is enough track time available that we may allocate a session for those who really want to test the limits of their Corvette. \n \nOur group would meet at Prudhommes Landing around 9 am for the 2-1/2 hour drive to Grand Bend. Same as last year\, a large group from the Corvette Club of Ontario is on the track before us\, so arriving early provides a great opportunity to watch them in action on the track and socialize with a lot of Corvette enthusiasts. \nClub members who would like to join in the drive to Grand Bend and watch the track event\, without taking their Corvette on the track\, are welcome to do so without any cost. Please email me separately at events@niagaracorvetteclub.com to indicate your interest in just the drive and being a spectator. \nPlease use the RSVP link to sign up for this event. Just enter 1 Guest for yourself\, as we don’t need to know how many passengers/spectators are attending. Once the total number of attendees is confirmed\, payment and event details will be provided. \nAny Club members who are planning on attending the Windsor Corvette Show on June 8 may choose to stay over and drive directly to Grand Bend on June 10.
